I am Back
Hi Pareshia,
Welcome to the "losing side!" I read your profile, and I am so sorry to hear you had to deal with those bad attitudes in the hospital. It is a classic example of how most of us have been treated by those that have never walked in our shoes! Pitiful, really...it's a shame that what goes around comes around.
I am so happy you have such a loving supportive husband, as that means so much. I know, because that is how my own husband has been through all this, even to helping me in ways you mentioned.
I had a similar experience in the recovery room..although I didn't have a tube down my throat, it had already been removed when I woke up. But, I was SO COLD...and the first thing I asked for was a blanket. The nurse there beside me was snotty, saying she couldn't get me one, and did I need anything else..? I told her, YEAH...ANOTHER NURSE!! And, I said it loud, too. Her mouth dropped open and she left me alone after that. But, MAN...what does it hurt to throw an extra blanket on a patient if they are cold!
You take good care of yourself and just enjoy being tended to by that wonderful man of yours. Give yourself plenty of time to rest and to heal. In a few weeks, before you know it, you will be feeling much better and back to your old self again.
I am very happy for you!
God bless you!
Pat
