I have a question about Taxes.....I've been told that it's possible to claim the surgery as part of my medical expendatures. That I could possibly claim the clothes I'm buying because they are needed due to the weight loss.... I'm certainly not a tax expert - but any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks! Dee Dee (I'm so NOT tax friendly!!! LOL)

Hey!! You can claim what you had to pay of the surgery. If the cost was 50k and you had to pay 10k then the amount is only what the insurance company did not pay for. As far as the clothes I don't know. The "surgical garments" that you have to buy or equipment then that is also tax deductable, again only what the Ins comp does not pay for. As for clothes on another line, if you are required to wear a "uniform" to work. i.e., when I worked for AT&T we had to wear suits, no pants with hosiery, that was tax deduct since they had what we could and could not wear in compnay hand out. So if you have to dress nice for work then you can use that as a deduct. Questions, IM later. I am running around today like a one legged man in a butt kicking contest!!! Lynn
