Hi all...I am post-op RNY and I am having trouble with coming up with good foods that are blenderized! I need some good ideas for this HARD part of the diet. Also...are there any foods that anyone knows of that are high in protein. I am DEFINATELY having trouble getting in the 60-70 grams of protein per day. Your help will be appriciated! Thanks ~Nicole

Hi Nicole, I am still in my puree stage, i had surgery 12/13/04 and i am down 44 lbs, so here are some ideas. I bake chicken and season with garlic, basil, & oregano, let cool or if you want it hot get some of the 0 calorie Parkay spray butter so it is not so dry, but if you let it cool i put like 1/4 of teaspoon of Hellman's light mayo. I also get ground chuck or sirloin and use the rotisserie or use my George Forman Grill then i place it between paper towels and press out any excess grease or juices and put it in the processor and add A-1 or Whorsthire (whatever on the spelling) steak sauce and eat that. i also ate crab legs, pureed with parkay spray butter, Tuna fish in the vaccum pack with hellman's light mayo. I myself love asparagus and spinach but i did not puree because canned or fresh you can get it soft enough too chew very well. I also eat canned carrots. i usually top all of the above with the 0 calorie parkay spray. As far as protein i buy Extreme Smoothie from GNC it comes in a soda can ready to drink i perfer mine cold and i like chooclate and strawberry (the strawberry tastes like McDonalds strawberry shake). I also drink alot of Fruit2o flavored water, i can't tolerate regular water. please feel free to email me if you have any further question. Good Luck Chris (Christine) Miller
