B12 question

I have a question for those of you who are taking b12 injections. When you first started, did you do the once a month injections or did you load yourself by doing them more frequently for awhile? My b12 level has not been that bad so far (because of free labs, I've been checking every month). I've been running in the mid 200's and they were only a little over 300 before surgery. I've been taking 1-2 of the sublingual b12's a day since surgery. For the last week I have been getting more and more tired thenl today I could not go on any futher. Felt just like I did 2 weeks after surgery when I went back to work. In addition to that I started having parasthesias (numbness) around my mouth and down my arms to my fingers. These are signs of b12 deficiency. We called in an Rx and I got my first shot today. I'm amazed at how fast it worked. Six hours later and I feel like a new person. I just wanted some infor from others on how they supplement themselves so I can get a consensus of opinions. Thanks denise

Denise Well my B12 was down to 50 so for a week i had to have a shot every day and then i am on once a week for two months and then every two weeks for a month ...so i think i am the exception to the shot rules .....but mine was very very very low !!! Laura

I just got a copy of my labs which were pulled 2 weeks ago. My B12 was 918 and normal range is 200-1100 pg/ml. So I guess my 2 chewable Flintstone Vitamins and 2 sublingual b12's are working. Was thinking about changing over to the Vitamist, however I think I will stick with what is working. I am a chicken to change when there is no reason too! Hope this helps. You looked great at the convention. I wish I could have shut my mouth long enough to get around and see everyone!!! (never gonna happen is it!!!lol) Lynn
