BCBS PPO GEORGIA

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW DIFFICULT IT IS TO GET APPROVAL FROM BCBS PPO OF GEORGIA? HOW LONG? ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS, DAWN

Hi Dawn; I just went through BCBS PPO GA, and it took them 2 1/2 weeks to approve me. Fortunately, my surgeon's office was really thorough and had everything sent in at the same time, so there was no back-and-forth about missing items. Good luck! Cheryl

I have that insurance and my paperwork was sent in Dec 22 and I was approved last week but I did have to have a surgical clearance from a cardiologist because my primary care giver would not sign off. I spoke with the insurance company several times and I do believe it helps to start contacting them yourself just for check up purposes. Good Luck

HI DAWN, I HAD THE SAME INSURANCE AND IT TOOK ME ABOUT 1 1/2. I CALLED BCBS EVERY 2-3 DAYS TO CHECK THE STATUS. I GUESS THEY GOT TIRED OF ME CALLING BUT I KEPT ON CALLING. I FOUND OUT I WAS APPROVED OVER THE PHONE AND DIDN'T GET MY LETTER UNTIL ALMOST 5 DAYS LATER. KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND BUG THE HECK OUT OF THEM
