I never thought I would have been so excited to get to eat a egg and a piece of toast. But boy has it been a long week.....It's seems to be so hard to drink all that I need to. Even before surgery I only drank during my meals, not throughout the day, and it is soooo hard. Hopefully I will get used to it soon and it will be a joy and not a drudgery. If anyone has any ideas on the pureed diet that I get to start tomorrow please share, I really miss chewing on food.............donna

Good Morning Donna, My one recipe that helped get through the stage is this: (remember we all are different in what we can tolerate and what the Dr says we can have) s/f orange jello or your favorite flavor fat free cool whip light and lively cottage cheese juice of fruit from jello (like I would add pineapple juice or mandarin orange) no more than 4 tablespoons. Mix it up and keeps for a week. It has lots of protein, sweet, and has plenty of calcium. I still use it when I get tired of the other things or when I want something sweet since it isnt bad for me!! Now I can add the oranges, still no pineapple yet but can in a month!!! My dietician gave me this recipe and I have eaten it before surgery and about once a month for a week after surgery. Hope this helps Lynn Lifsey 243/155 12 more until I hit the -100 lbs loss
