It didn't hurt....the first time getting it on was a struggle...but the more you do it the easier it becomes. Beauty comes with a price!!!!

Dee Dee, Describe the compression garment. When I had my panniculectomy I was given six I beleive. They are really expense but, my insurance company paid for them. I am glad you guys had a fun time last weekend, maybe I can make the next one. Crece

The one I have is from the top of the knees to over the shoulders. It's a body stocking from the knee to the hip area, then over the stomach and up the ribcage is a double lining of the compression material. It hooks in the front with eye clasps (the same clasps that are on a bra). There are about 40 - 50 of them....so they're pretty durable. Unfortunately I have decided to return mine because the first one I tried was calf lenght - but it rolled up and would gather behind my knees....which had me concerned about clots. I changed it to the knee length one...but it also seems to be rolling and I have too high of a risk in my family to develop clots.... I have tried others.....and none really felt as good as this did. I had to evaluate wether or not it would be worth keeping this and risking a different prbolem later on.....so that is why i've decided to return it! If they cover them after a panni - then I'll get one then....but for now I"m not going to worry about it!
