I JUST WANT TO SAY THANKS TO ALL THOSE THAT SUPPORT OTHERS THOUGH THIS SURGERY BECAUSE I BELEIVE WITHOUT THE SUPPORT IT WOULD BE HARD I KNOW THAT THE CHATS AND THE EMAILS HAVE HELPED ME THROUGHT THE ENTIRE ORDEAL SO ONCE AGAIN THANKS

Dawn, For me, no thanks are needed. When I had my surgery two years ago, my family and I really knew nothing. We had no support groups to turn to because I didn't know that there were any out there. When I found this group last summer, even though I was 1.5 years post op, I felt like I finally found people who know what it is like to be me. I have learned things about this whole process that I had no idea about before. I made a decision that I would be there to support as many people as I can who are going through this, because I know only to well, the desperation that people feel when they know that this is their last hope at a new life, and I also know what it is like to relearn how to live your life after surgery.
