ATLANTA CONVENTION AWESOME!!!!

am a pre-op and was very interested in attending the OH convention here in Atlanta. Let me just say it was AWESOME!!! I really enjoyed all the speakers and learned so much. I found it to be highly motivational to see all the post ops, to know other people have had to live their lives like me, but have found a way to improve their health and their lives for good. I really appreciate Bo and Monica sharing their personal stories. It helps so much to have real people with real experiences right in front of you. I enjoyed the surgeons and other professionals as well, but what I enjoyed the most was hearing from people who have walked in my shoes. At one point, they had all the "losers" of 100#'s or more come up front to present them a pin. That was wonderful and emotional for me, I felt myself tearing up with happiness for these people who have been able to change their lives so dramatically. I HIGHLY recommend going to an OH convention if you can get to one in your area. It is a great experience for pre-ops as well as post-ops. I can definitely see how it could keep you motivated after surgery. THANKS to BO, MONICA and OH for coming to ATLANTA!!!! Kelly S

I agree Kelly, the convention was awesome! I came away with so much form it. The awarding of the pins was moving to say the least, I'm so glad to be a member of such a great group of people. Take care, James
