recovering at home
Kimberly,
It may not be necessary for the recliner. I just got home from the hospital yesterday, and when I was discharged, the nurse gave me these specific things I could do: walking, using stairs and (gasp!) sex (now how you are supposed to do that last one when you have all of these new little holes in your tummy is beyond me...but I'll leave that to your imagination). The things I was told I could NOT do were: drive or lift anything (again...sex?...how?) - not driving is mainly because of the pain meds you will be taking.
True, I have enjoyed my recliner, but I also slept in my own bed last night and as long as I got up every 4 hours to take the next dose of pain meds (and potty), I had no problem getting in and out of bed.
Hopefully, you will have as easy a time, but if anything, you should have no problem taking your stairs (S-L-O-W-L-Y) to get to your bed.
Hope that helps!
Amanda
