I'm came home this morning from the hospital and I'm doing great. Thanks, everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I was able to walk up and down the halls to the nurses station while in the hospital. I'm experiencing no pain at this time. It's hard to believe I had surgery on Monday. I'm going to take it easy the next 3 weeks while off from work. No for me. I was so calm the day of surgery. DH accompanied me to waiting area and he was amazed at how calm I was. I looked at the clock on the wall as I was heading to OR and it was 6:45 am. I remember the nurse putting the mask over my mouth and then I woke up at 11:15 am. The nurse stated my surgery was over and I was heading to my room to see DH and family. I would like to thank my exercise friend Marylyn for calling DH and the hospital to check me. Thank you Cheryl, Tara, and Judy for the telephone calls and visits. Once again-Thank you Now I'm on the losing side I'm very happy, thankful, and blessed I had this surgery. Tammie G. loser 2005

Tammie, CONGRATULATIONS!! Looks like you and I became losers at the same time, on the same day!! I am so glad you had a successful surgery! My experience has been very similar, and the good Lord willing (and Dr. Procter), I hope to go back to work on the 18th (I'm in a school system, so we are off on that Monday for MLK). Keep in touch and if you ever need to touch base with someone that is at the same stage in the process as you, don't hesitate to give me a holler!! Amanda

CONGRATULATIONS Amanda on your surgery. It's nice being a loser now. I'm on Phase II(puree) diet and I love it. For lunch I had puree tuna/egg/light mayo and little splenda for a 2oz (5 baby spoons)serving of tuna salad. I made sf ff jello chocolate pudding with skim and powder milk. I ate 3 baby spoons of chocolate pudding. For supper I cooked black beans in the crock pot with chicken flavor bouillion cubes. I pureed the black beans with low fat cheese and at 2oz of black beans and tuna salad for supper. I will remember to get the proteins in first and I'm hoping to not use proteins shakes. Best wishes on your continous weight loss. Tammie G. Loser-
