Am I the slowest loser in history ? Had my six week check up yesterday.. I am only down 27 pounds. I so wanted to see at least 30 I do get all my protein in almost every day, and water too. I am going to start excercising today.. maybe that will help Also wonder if maybe, it was because of my period. That started this morning... Oh well... I will keep plugging along

I just went back to read my profile to see where I was at when I was 6 weeks out... I think I was right around 29lbs down.. I remember thinking it was going SO FREAKIN SLOW! I was so frustrated and emotional right then.. but guess what -- no matter how slow it goes -- IT GOES! And isn't that great?!? I wish I could go back to the me I was at that point and say "Don't stress out about it... it WILL work.. You aren't going to fail this time!" But I can't -- so I will send that advice to you instead You are doing everything right and you are still healing so just focus on continuing to do what you are doing and you will be amazed at the new you that starts to emerge. This first year is so exciting and such a wild ride.. Hang on... you are in for quite the experience.. Hugs - lynnda

Maureen - I hope this will make you feel better - I looked at your post and went "wow! That's almost 5 pounds a week!" What you may see as a slow loss looks wonderful to me, since I just had surgery Monday. Think of how long it would have taken you to lose 27 pounds WITHOUT the surgery...and this time, it will all stay gone!! Also, I read your profile and was glad to see someone that was relatively the same size as me, used the same doc, and same insurance and had good luck with it all! You are doing awesome - don't let the numbers discourage you - Aunt Flo will make ANYONE hold onto water, so you probably did really hit the 30 pound mark - and exercise will definitely help. Try using www.fitday.com to track your food intake - it's free and you can find any food imaginable - you might surprise yourself! (By the way - the thoughts of eating the cheese and peperonni off a piece of pizza sounds divine!!!) Amanda
