Anyone on here from the Athens area. I am hoping to have Dr. Mejias so my surgery in Feb. or March.

I am from Athens, GA. I love Dr. Mejias, he is a great doctor. But I did not meet him until after I had surgery with a doctor in Atlanta. I do attend Dr. Mejias' support group. Hi Jean, I'm from Athens, and I'm waiting on insurance approval for my laparoscopic RNY. I'm not having my surgery done in Athens though. My surgery will be done in Gainesville by Dr. Proctor. Feel free to write back.

Hi Jean, This is my second post...just made the first one a moment ago, but for some reason, it didn't show up. Dr. Mejias performed my surgery on Tuesday, December 14th, and I need to say if you are choosing him as your surgeon, you are making a very wise decision, indeed! I grew up in Athens...going there tomorrow to eat at Gyro Wrap downtown ONE MORE TIME before surgery. I love that place!!! Dr. Mejias is a great doctor in general....you will do GREAT!! Shree
