Advice - Dr. Titus Duncan

Hi all, Happy Holiday and Happy New Year. I had an appt. on Nov. 16, 2004 at Dr. Duncan's office with several other ladies. We discussed the surgery, filled out paper work, weighed in and got our BMIs. We then met individually with Dr. Fields and she told us what pre-ops we needed to completed before surgery. Also, we were told that since several of us had to have surgery before 1.1.05 due to insurance changes if we completed our pre-ops quickly we could get a date before 1.1.05. Well, I completed my pre-ops on 12.9.04 and made sure that all results were submitted to the Drs. office. Now, I have called the office several times a day to get an appt. and you can only speak with one person which is Y. Douglas. I have left several voice mails and still and have not received a call. I need to add I already had my approval letter for the surgery and the office is aware that I have to Jan. 16, 2005 to complete the surgery, however, no one is calling me back. Does anyone have Dr. Duncan as their surgeon and if so do you know a way I can get someone to call me back? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Little fustrated. Have a safe New Year everyone.

I don't think they are in the office this week! I would start calling again as soon as the office opens on Monday! Don't count on voice mails. (It sounds like you already know better.) I left many last year to a lady who ended up being out on maternity leave. I even said stuff like "Call me if there's a problem." How intelligent?!?!...NOT Happy New Year!!! Hugs, Becky

Yes, the voice mail is NOT working for me....LOL!! How did you find out the person was on maternity leave? I hope not after she returned!! Thank you for the advice I will start calling again on Monday.

I know how you feel. I went through the same thing. A young lady by the name of Jennifer is who I finally got to talk to but not until I emailed Dr Duncan himself through his website about all of it. I needed to have my surgery before 2005 also so time was important. Dr Duncan had someone call me though...But he got the email. Go to his main website and and you will see where you can email him. Good luck to you....By the way, I had surgery on 12-10-04,3 weeks ago today and I am doing fine. Kathy

I had Dr Duncan as a surgeon, My advice to you is...go there and ask to speak to Y Douglas or when you call tell the person that answers the phone to page her...I trully understand your position...I had my surgery Nov 29 04, have lost 30lbs....good luck to you and if I can help just let me know. Congratulations on your 30 pounds...awesome!! How are you feeling? Thank you for the advice. I have never spoken to Jennifer I will try asking for her and if that is not successful I will try going there in person.

I had my 3 month check-up Dec. 29 at Dr. Duncan's office. They have a new office manager I would ask to speak to him. If this does not work call Susan at Atlanta Wellness Center and she will make sure that you get in to see Dr. Duncan. Good Luck!

hey i am having similar problems w/ dr duncan's staff myself. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH i went to the seminar in july. did the whole book of things i had to do, got everything sent to their office and my insurance doesnt take faxes. so they had to call them at a direct line. (humana) it took a week of calling for jennifer to get it done. i know they are so busy but jeeze. now it is stating that it is pending under the insurance, so i called them, they said that they didnt get all the info from the surgeons office. so i called jennifer back. 5 times this week. she said she would call them back and call me back. that was wed. i didnt get a hold of her on thursday just her voice mail, and no one in the office today. dr duncan is the only surgeon that my ins said they would cover in my network. i do think great things of him, but this stuff is just a big ole pain in the bunns. i hope you have good luck monday jerri
