Hello everyone! I'm a little nervous, because I'm on week 6 and I have only lost 13lbs. And that was lost in the first two weeks. I see everyone loosing 25 - 31lbs in their first month. I have been at home all month and now back to work this week. I have done just a very little exercise, but I haven't really felt like doing much more. Is this common. I haven't gotten sick from any of the foods I eat so I wonder if I'm eathing the wrong things. Please help me understand what I'm doing wrong. Thanks Bye the way I love you guys!!!

Tami: I know everybody is different and lose at different speeds. Make sure that you are getting your protein in coz that certainly effects the rate. Also if you don't eat enough then your body goes into starvation mode and that makes you lose slower. It also seems that if you start out what they call a "light-weight" you lose slower. Just be patient as I am sure this plateau will soon pass. It definitely takes a while for your body to get adjusted and then you are probably losing inches first. Patience my friend.... Angela Massey

Hi, Tami! I am 6 1/2 months out and have lost 70 pounds, so my average is less than yours right now. Looking at your BMI, you are considered a "light weight," and your weight loss may be slower. Don't be discouraged, you will lose! You may want to "hide" the scales right now. Your body is adjusting to your new pouch! I think the most important things are getting in your protein and liquids. Are you following your nutritionist or surgeon's particular food plan? They are all a little different. The important thing is to stick with your plan. Big hugs to you! Becky

Hey Tami, I agree with the other ladies. Hide your scales. Right now just concentrate on getting in your protein and liquids. I had over 240 pounds to lose so I have lost fast in the beginning and have slowed down some now. But Amy was over 600 and has lost over 200 in the same amount of time as me, so the amount you have to lose in the beginning will be the basis for what speed you will lose. The more you need to lose the faster you will lose it. Be patient, the weight will come off. I wish there were some magic words to say. Hang in there pal. If you need anything, just yell. Hugs, Debra =^..^=
