Hello. I just got a call from Aetna and they approved me after my appeal! I have so many emotions right now. I am excited but scared at the same time. I mean I am all over the place with "I want to do it" and "should I do it". I feel like I am going nuts. Is this normal? Did anyone else kind of freak out when it became a real option??

OOOOOOOH YES!!! You will be happy to know that you are COMPLETELY normal as you run the gamut of all those emotions! I think we ALL have done the same thing. We have also each asked, "is this normal?" Just trust in God that you will get through this, and that it is fate that you have been approved for the surgery that will change your life for the better. By the way....CONGRATULATIONS!! Please know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you! Pat

Pat, Thank you for your response. I didn't think about it being fate so that does help calm me. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Happy holidays! Bonnie

Congratulations on your approval. I fully understand the range of emotions you're feeling now, I had my share of them right before surgery. I'm 6 days post-op now and I'm so glad I never hesitated. Good luck to you. James

Your emotions are definitely normal. I even tried to back out as soon as I woke up AFTER the surgery...not from the pain, but because I didn't realize I had already had it. My devotion/bible study that morning was about the Lord taking some of us home sooner than others. Dad's was about losing a loved one too, so you can imagine how secure I felt. Boy, were my good-byes good (a bit over the top)! Needless to say, I was ready to meet my Maker in person...not eager, but ready!!! Sometimes, it does help to talk about your fears. We understand!!! We'll be here for you! Hugs, Becky
