Hi Amy, How well I know what you are feeling!! I was in the same boat up until last week, believe me! I was going through every emotion imaginable, and thought I was going crazy. If I had been able to, I would have gotten out and taken some long walks like I used to do before my knees went out. If you are able to do so, this may help you...wrap yourself up really good, and do some walking. It will work off the energy, and maybe help to lose a few pounds between now and your surgery date. The loss of the weight (from what my own surgeon required) really helps to lessen your pain level after the surgery, as it shrinks the liver and helps the maneuverability of the surgeon's instruments. I am very excited for you, and I want you to know that I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers as next week approaches. In the meantime, have a wonderful Christmas! God bless you! Pat

Hi, Sweetie!!! I remember the same feelings! During the last week before surgery, I KNOW I gained at least five pounds trying to eat all of the foods I love the most one or two last times. I had Mexican, Italian, Southern, you name it. I ate at Red Lobster (lunch menu is cheaper) twice that week. My last "good-byes" were not necessary. Now, I eat healthy and still enjoy my favorites. In fact, I handle some foods like scallops better now than before. The big difference is that I am satisfied with a few bites. Cool!!! I hope that continues. Try to take it easy this week. I wish I had those five pounds back now that I'm losing slower. I also was very tense, (read off-the-wall) so take it easy! Laugh as much as possible. I am praying for you every day, Dear Amy!!! I love you! Hugs, Becky

Hey dear friend. I know the wait is the worst part. It is like the days just drag by. But your day will be here in no time. I bet your house, yard and everything else will be spotless by the time your surgery comes around. You know I am here if you need me. You are always in my thoughts and prayers. If you need me just yell. I will be there. Hugs, Debra =^..^=

Hey Amy, Make yourself so busy you don't think about it so nervously. My date is Dec. 27th and I have been so busy this week I have hardly had time to think about surgery. God is in control calm yourself in his word. We are going to travel this journey together. -Deana

Amy, I can totally sympathize with you. The last week before surgery was rough for me, I was excited, scared-you name it. The nerves were all gone the morning of surgery, the only sad part for me was having to leave the company of my loved ones when I went into prep. Best wishes to you and your family for the holidays. Hope everything goes as smoothly for you as they did for me. James

Hi Amy, Find something that you like to do and just do it. I was so scared that I would be nervous and that I would forget to do something that I needed to do. So for me it was sewing....I sewed like a mad women, until a few days before surgery...then I had just enought time to get ready to go...so I was not nervous...just tired. You will be fine, just try to get it off your mind. Martha
