Thank you all so much!!!

Just wanted to stop by and say thank you so much for all the prayers and well wishes and to thank Tami for being a great angel and checking up on me. I was a long week at Altanta Medical Center - I was losing what they called "old" blood so was readmitted on 12/14 after being discharged that day (my surgery was in 12/13). They transfused me twice and then it just stopped - they monitored me until Thursday evening and then released me. I stayed at the Omni until yesterday and then we drove back to Savannah. So far all I've done is sleep - I have lost any weight on the scales but I also can't get my rings on so I imagine the zillion bags of IV fluid are still floating around in me. I have to say I was apprehensive about Dr. Duncan and his lack of attention but he visited me every day and seemed to be on top of everything. The Nurse Manager - Sharon on 8 Tower was fabulous to me. I was not unhappy with the treatment I was given. My daughter who is a physician kept up with me through telephone calls (she is good at easing my mind because I trust her judgement as a doctor) and my other daughter who is a nurse both agreed that at my age with my co-morbities that there was little chance that I would get through clean and to quote one of my daughters I am a little "high strung". Anyway I am home - hopefully going to be losing and not looking back. Tami - I was happy to have you as an angel - It is one week before Christmas and you are busy -- I appreciate your taking the time to call and check on me. I will call you in a couple of day.
