Merry Christmas!!!
Merry Christmas at OH Georgia Boards!!! I wanted to take a minute to share. Every year about now, I go into a deep funk. A large part of it is because of my little ones at school. I am fortunate to be in a position where I can assist families because of all of the service organizations, etc, but it never seems like it's enough, and my kiddos REALLY believe there is a Santa. Well, one little guy I have had two years now, brilliant with August birthday, has been asking me if I have seen the Big Guy since September. I know exactly what he wants. Last year, sponsors were easily found for this sweetie and his four brothers and sisters...precious, hard-working family. This year on Tuesday, I found out that they had been overlooked because of an organizational mix up. With college tuition, life, etc., I knew we didn't have it personally. It just wasn't/isn't there! Things like this tear me up! My little pouch still aches like the big one did. Well, I found out Wednesday, that the county Service League is coming through...in a big way, and the parents were able to pick the store and will get to do the shopping. I am sooooooooooooo happy!!! May I say, Praise the Lord!?!? For those who have less this Christmas, please know that you are greatly loved!!! You are not in this thing called life alone!
Even when we don't have it to give, we can share with a prayer and a smile. The Lord WILL provide. If we do have it, then let's put it into action!
I love you all!!! Merry Christmas!!!
Sincerely,
Becky
Hey Becky,
Merry XMAS to you. My troop typically does several families, and I also do one personally. This year I did a family of 9 kids. I find it fulfilling to be able to give what I can.
God is good all the time, and it is wonderful that we can share life and love with others. As I sit and heal, I felt a bit depressed as I am ready to get up and run.
Have a very Merry XMAS and a Blessed New Year
Denise
Hey Becky, I pray that a lot more comes the way for the children who are needing so much. If you know of any families that need a sofa and can't afford one, let me know. I have a few and can get more if another family needs them. If you need anything at all just yell.
MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL
Hugs,
Debra =^..^=

Hi, Sweet Sister! I feel pretty good...just a bit tired. I have to cook for 25 on Friday (in-laws), and I don't know how to cook!!! Yes, I'm cooking-deficient!!! I have never cooked a turkey, sweet potatoe souffle, or any of that other stuff. My mil and gmil have cooked all of these years, and we are blessed to still have them this Christmas...almost lost them both several times. Now it's my turn! The worse part is cleaning up my house. Yes, I'm cleaning-deficient too!
You've got mail!!!
I love you!!!
Becky

Becky, you will be blessed for all the work you do with the children. I know it wouldn't be Christmas for me without helping those less fortunate. We run a program here at work and every year I make sure I'm part of the planning/execution team. It makes me feel like I'm giving a little something back to the community when I've been so lucky in the past and had help when I needed it.
I got what I wanted for Christmas too, just like Glam-ma! My sister rescued a 6 month old kitten/cat off the side of 85 by Jimmy Carter last week. I found a girl at work to take her, but the kitty was going to have to stay at my house on Saturday until the lady was out of a Christmas party. Well, my roommates fell in love with her (even the one who's allergic) and they said we could keep her! I've been feeling so empty for years without a pet but before they always said no way. So it's a minor Christmas miracle for me and I choose to believe it's partly due to my good kharma!
Happy Holidays to everyone here!
