This is the latest from Haylie's mother. Thanks to all of you on this message board who have been praying for Haylie. The prayers have certainly helped. Carol The e-mail I got: Hello everyone! Haylie is being discharged today. Rick is on his way up to get us now. She has to come here in January or February for a CT scan and couple of days of follow-up. We have to do weekly blood work and keep Pittsburgh in our future. But with all the advances in the transplant program, and the new medicines being developed, we would be stupid not to stay updated. Haylie is very blessed and once again has out done what they thought she would do. They still do not know how her liver can withstand the trama that it has gone through and still be releasing bile flow. It is amazing. She hasn't had a hepatic artery since she was transplanted. And she has a small blockage in her bile duct, but for some reason she has produced her own arteries through the liver which creates a passage for her bile to flow. Please continue to pray for Haylie, we don't know what the future holds for her, but we know right now she is one lucky 16 year old. Thanks for caring and most of all for emails and prayers they have been answered, and the emails have truely kept me sane these past weeks.....love, leisa & haylie
