Hi All

I sure have missed all of you here. My niece is kind enough to let me use her computer for a short time so I could check in with everyone and see how things are going. It is so hard not being able to talk and check on all of you. I think I need to explain what has happened. Two months ago I got the brilliant idea of getting the unlimited long distance with AT&T for one set rate of $29.95, so that I could call and keep up with all you great people on here. Well the first month AT&T said I had the service so I made a lot of calls. Then the bill came and they said that my regular phone company hadn't released my long distance yet. I fought with both companies about it and they said they would check into it and get back to me. Then I got a call the next day and was told everything was okay and that I now had the long distance. So I continued to make the calls I love to make. I kept checking on the special number I have to call to see if I was still connected to the plan and it said I was. So I kept making calls. When the next bill came I blew my top! I called both companies again and demanded to know what the heck was going on. They came up with all kinds of crap to justify their actions. Needless to say I lost out in the battle. Until I can come up with $397 to get it back on I am at the mercy of my niece to use her computer when she isn't working. (Which isn't very often) As most of you know I love to help others. It makes me feel better to be able to do that. Please don't be mad at me for my mess up. Anyway, I just wanted to say I miss you and that I will be back on as soon as I can. I have to pay the mortgage first since that is the most important. thank you all for your love and support. So sorry to hear about your troubles. You might possibly get some relief from this situation by filing a complaint with the Georgia Public Service Commission. This is a land line, right? They don't regulate cell phones, just regular telecom providers. You can do this on-line at http://www.psc.state.ga.us/ There is a link on that page to file on-line - or you can call them directly at (800) 282-5813. Also this may be an area of complaint that the FCC regulates. They can be contacted at (888) 225-5322. The way you have been treated just doesn't sound right to me. Also - companies do NOT want to be reported to the GPSC, and this usually gets some action. Don't pay this before you call the state to complain. Even if it's not your fault, you'd probably never see the $$ again. Hope this might help you.
