Off track
I have been very bad. I can't seem to eat right. I stay hungry all the time. I swore today I was going to get back on track, but it did not happen. I tried making a protien drink and just will not drink it. I made a roast last night and keep eating potatoes (which is a no-no). Thank goodness I didn't put much potatoes in it. Do you think I should go back to liquids till I can work these hunger issues out? Do you think I am going crazy?( I do and So does the hubby) I even went out in bought a can of boiled peanuts. I know I need to drink more ( I have only had maybe 5 oz of fluid today and it is 5 pm) should i just drink plain water if i just can't get that protein in? I am just venting I will try again tommorow to do things right. Merry Christmas everyone and thanks for letting me go crazy...
love ya bunches,

Hi Lisa, I'm sorry that your having trouble All I can suggest is for you to talk to your surgeon, or your dietrician (and us, of course!). No matter what kind of surgery we all have, we will still know obesity. Our brains are used to that kind of lifestyle, and it's going to take some serious hard work to change that. I've heard from people that reach their goals and still have issues with food. With this surgery, all we're changing is our stomach. It would be nice if they could change our brain, the way we think about food. I think it is so important that you talk to your dietrician. Sometimes we get off track, and some of us need a little bit more help then others, there's nothing wrong with that. The surgeon that I was seeing suggests staying active in group meetings. Anything to talk more about the problems you may be having. Try to do something that will take your mind somewhere else. You could try to only cook food that is healthy, or you could eliminate all of the no-no's from your kitchen. I am a sucker for ice cream- and there's never any in the house (I wish there was, but in the long run it will keep me healthy) I wish you only the best with your weight loss journey, and I wish that I could be of more help. If you ever need anything, we're here.
God Bless,
Tiffany.
PS- keep us posted, we'll give support in times like these.
Hi Lisa, You are not going crazy. I did the same thing. Remember you aren't that far out. It will take time for your brain to realize that things have changed. You just have to keep telling yourself that you can do it and believe it. That is the hardest part, since we have all failed at diets. Our brains say here we go again and then go into that old mode again. We have to fight it and with the support from this group it can be done. I can't be on line much right now but you will be in my thoughts and prayers. If you need anything, let me know and I will do what I can as soon as I can check my mail. I know you can do it. Have the faith in yourself that we all have in you.
Hgs,
Debra =^..^=
