Question about Dr. Burrowes

I have been seeing Dr. Titus Duncan but he has now referred me to Dr. Burrowes. I have an apt for Dec 15th. Can anyone give me some feed back on Dr. Burrowes. I hear Dr. Burrowes is really good and up front about the surgery..

I am a paitent of Dr Burrowes and have been VERY pleased with my results. He's a very thorough doctor and knows the surgery is just a tool. It is NOT a diet nor a quick fix. His surgery is done open.....it's the only way he does it. I've recommended several people to use him - and I believe they are satisfied with their decision! Best of luck with your meeting with him.....you'll actually meet him on the FIRST visit too..........

Dr. Duncan referred me because I have a rare condition which I had to have a surgery to help correct. Dr. Duncan only does his surgery Lap and I need to have my surgery done open. When I first called Dr. B's office they told me that they would not be able to get me in until January but since I had seen Dr. Duncan they squeezed me in on Dec 15th. I have all my information to get approved with I just need to see a Dr. and have my paper work sent in to BCBS of GA.

I'm crazy about the guy! He's extremely professional, but has a good sense of humor. I've seen him in the office and out, as a speaker at the support group. I'm convinced he's in this to help people. He's done hundreds of surgeries and is well qualified.

Thanks for all your replies.. I'm very excited about my apt with Dr. B tomorrow. It is an 1 1/2 hour drive for me and my apt is at 3:30 so I will be getting back a little late home. I had all my records from Dr. Duncan's office faxed over so I should be good on that too. Hope full he will say he will do my surgery and then all I have to do it get approved.

No worries about Dr. B....he is the BEST!!!!!!!! I have never heard anything bad about him. I love him. Everybody I know loves him. Your wait maybe be a long one (in the waiting room) so bring something to work on or read. I would not have had the surgery done lap. I've had other surgeries done that way and if given the choice I'll never do it again. The gas they fill up with for lap surgeries is more painful than the surgery itself!! Besides, they are able to sterilize the 'open' surgical equipment better than the 'lap' equipment. The 'lap' equipment is mostly rubber, because it has to be flexilble, the 'open' is all metal, much easier to sterilze and kill off anything that could cause an infection. I know a lot of people that had the lap with no problems. But with my bad luck, I just didn't want to take any chances. Best of luck to you.
