I hope that this will not stop my surgery

I want to scream.....I woke up this morning with a cold sore....at 7:30am I was calling in my med's for this. Do you think that this can make them stop my surgery this Friday? I feel great, but I just have this damn cold sore on my top lip. Martha

I don't think that will stop your surgery however before you take ANYTHING other than what you've been told to take up to surgery I'd ask your surgeon's office. I almost made that mistake. I had a cold or what I thought was a cold. If I had taken the meds it would have delayed my surgery. Thankfully it was just an allergy. Amy

Martha, Go straight to the store (cvs,eckerd) and buy something called Abreva. I get a cold sore about once a year and this clears it right up, keep putting it on continuosly, and you should be fine. Cathy

Thank you all....I called the Dr's office and they said that it was fine to take my meds and surgery is still Friday. Martha
