Can this be Sciatica???
For the last 4-5 weeks I've had the pain radiating from the lower back to right "hip" area. That changed this weekend to the weirdest thing! The backs of both thighs from the bend of my knee to my butTOCKS (a'la Forrest Gump!) have become highly sensitive....tender to the touch...sorta like your skin feels when you have a high fever/flu...but more intense.It feels nerve related, ya know? As background I did have a big day on Thursday, walking, in and out of car, standing on my feet, doing MORE than I have in a while due to my progressive ability to tolerate more exercise and movement, etc. and then on Friday night we did my husband's xmas party and I was again on my feet more in shoes that weren't as supportive as what I'm accustomed to wearing. I'm actually sitting on a pillow at work, because rubbing on the nubby texture of the fabric on my chair is irritating. I'm very uncomfortable. Have any of you ever heard of it? I have a 24 hr. nurse on call with my HMO. I am not having the fluid retention issues that would normally accompany blood clots so I don't *think* that's the problem.Maybe I should call??
It might be Chris S. will be able to shed some light on this. I hope so! I'm not dying in pain...just very uncomfortable.
