I am starting back to work on Monday, and have NO idea what to bring for lunch. I will do protein shake for breakfast, but have not had much desire to eat Any ideas for somthing simple to take to work to make sure I eat something?

How about a fat-free yogurt with some unflavored protein powder mixed in? I have that at my desk for a morning snack. You can also add the protein powder to SF pudding for a nice treat.

I did a lot of yogurt as well, and cottage cheese and applesauce. It took a while then I would change to sliced turkey and cheese rolled up like a hot dog! Peanut butter and saltines are allowed as well. I keep a Tupperware "shaker" at work... Course, Im at a school and have access to a carton of skim milk to do a protein shake for a snack if I get empty feeling. I know how you feel. It's hard for me to come up with stuff for lunch either...and I'm 4.5 months out. Good luck!

Hi Maureen, As a patient of Dr. Procter's too, I can give you some ideas that I am using. I work in a school, so some things are easy. But, one thing I do is take a small container of Dannon carb control yogurt every day, and mix in one scoop of unflavored protein powder. I use the unjury. For lunch, I bought those small glad containers. Baby food containers (the plastic ones) are great to use. I try to change things around so I am not eating the same everyday but, I eat my yogurt around 9 by 1 I eat: chicken salad (the canned is softer to eat) tuna salad lentil soup with some parmesan cheese sprinkled on it crab meat salad shrimp rolled up deli turkey refried beans with lowfat cheese egg salad So far these are the only things I have experimented with. Hope this gives you some ideas! How are you doing? Kathy
