Support Group Tonight-Northside Hospital in Atlanta

Thought I'd pass this on to all of you, not sure if it's already been posted or not. I saw this on the Wings site. It should be interesting!!! SPECIAL NORTHSIDE SUPPORT GROUP MEETING - TALK Date: Thursday, December 9, 2004 Time: 5:00PM - 7:00PM EST (GMT-05:00) Description: Guest Speaker: Teri Kai Holtzclaw, PhD. SUBJECT: "Weight Gain After Weight Loss (WLS Surgery)" The Northside Support Group Meeting is one of Atlanta's oldest Gastric Bypass Support Group monthly meetings. And until January of 2003, Teri Holtzclaw used to co-anchor this Support group with Karen Bonney. Teri Holtzclaw is flying in SPECIALLY the Northside Meeting, just as she did for our WINGS meeting back in October. She is currently Associate Vice-President of Behavioral Health Services for VOW Solutions, A division of Vista Medical Technologies, Inc. Teri received HIGH MARKS for her talk to WINGS and she will continue that same "theme." The area she now likes to focus on (for WLS Post Ops) is "A Social Fitness Program For WLS Patients." This is basically a Program for WLS Post Ops that VALUES our (your) Emotional, Mental and Spiritual well being and Balance. And she likes to specifically deal with "WEIGHT GAIN AFTER WEIGHT LOSS" - A Subject she herself must deal with each and every day since her own 175 lb loss from Gastric Bypass surgery (in Atlanta) 8 years ago. The Northside Support Group meeting was started by Drs Waits and Macik (originally), but it has ALWAYS been "open" to all WLS Pre Ops, Post Ops and ANY other interested parties. LOCATION: 980 Johnson-Ferry Road ==> This is the Doctor's office building IMMEDIATELY adjacent to - WEST SIDE - and on the same side of the street as Northside Hospital

Hiya Lisha! I remembered Karen wanted us to post it and I didn't see it so I figured I'd throw it out there I would've spoken up at last months group but I knew I was having surgery and didn't know if I'd be able to do it or not. Anyway....glad I didn't step on toes! I'm excited to hear what Dr.Teri has to say, it's going to be interesting....sorry you won't be there tonight, I'll send you some notes for sure. Hi Sungurl I was wondering where the Wings site is. Alot of members post dates of meeting, and unfortunatly, they are all too soon. I was hoping that I could go onto the Wings site and find a future date that I could plan for. Thank you so much! God Bless, Tiffany.
