Finally! A Happy Scale Story
I've been weighing in at Dr. Hart's office once a week since my surgery. I've been averaging about 3 pounds per week. I should note that I have not been able to use my scales at home, because they only go up to 330 pounds. Anything over that, and you just get a big "E" for error.
Last Wednesday, I weighed in at 333 at the dr.'s office. For some strange reason, I decided to step on my as-yet-unused bathroom scale, and lo and behold, no "E". It said 326. Stunned, I stepped off immediately, fearing the end of the world. After composing myself, I stepped back on, and once again, I saw 326. I still can't believe it! I'm so thrilled!!
Of course, I realize that my home scale and the "official" one at the dr.'s office are bound to register different weights, this was still a MAJOR victory for me.
Congrats!! It's a great feeling, isn't it - stepping on the scale and not seeing that darned old "E".
The limit of 330 lbs is why I have TWO scales at my house!! When Dr. Hart wanted me to lose some weight before my surgery, I had no way of checking at home, so I bought a new scale that went up to 380. Now, if I could just get the two to AGREE
If one was always heavier than the other, that would be one thing, but they take turns being heavier & lighter. It's very annoying. At least they both agree I"m under 300 now (YIPEE!!!) In fact, I'm down to 290!!
