I went last night to have my sleep test. Up yesterday morning at 5:00 am. Cleaned house all day,I was very tired when I got there, watched a little t.v. and when it was time for lights to go off I could not fall asleep!!! My god! I turned and tossed, tossed and turned It was a really bad night. Did anyone else have this problem? W Williams

I didn't have that problem, but figured I would. I don't sleep in pjs, but had to use them for the study. Okay, ya'll - quit - I use nightgowns. I prefer LONG nightgowns - all the way to the floor. So, sleeping in pjs was strange, plus I was in a strange bed, plus you have wires everywhere, plus there are people WATCHING you!! It's a wonder anyone ever sleeps during a sleep study!! Hang in there. Ann in Duluth

I also was so ready to go to sleep. Then nothing. I usually work 3-11 so I don't go to bed til around 1 or 2 in the morning. Around 11 we turned out the lights, and my eyes just popped open. All those wires, whenever I did sleep a little they had to come in and adjust wires or stick them back on. But they got enough to determine that I had 148 episodes of sleep interuption an hour and a few times my O2 went down to 50. Which is bad. Then I had to go back a second time and was going to ask the doctor for sleep aid but forgot so it was the same thing all over again.

Hey W, I had the same problem except even stranger. The doc had ordered some sleeping meds since I don't sleep well. I took one when I got there. Teh tech said you will be out in about 20 minutes. Well 5 hours later I was still awake. And had taken 3 more pills. They finally believed me when I told them meds don't work on me any more. So don't feel alone in this problem. I had trouble even when I went back for the second part too. I pray things are going well for you. Hugs, Debra =^..^=

Thanks Darla and Debra Yes that was a very BAD night for me and the bad part about it was when I got home I was so sleepy, I sat on the couch and slept until about noon. Why couldn't I do that at the center!!!

YEAH! It was terrible... PLUS... I am a bit of a freak, and sleep with my tv on all night on, or SOMETHING...they slammed the lights/tv/no book/etc.. off and I felt like a Hoot Owl with my eyes WIDE open!! Drove me nuts!!! Next time I went, I took some Nyquil before I went to sleep...worked like a charm. -Tami

I hate it when that happens! I haven't gone in for my sleep apnea testing yet, but I get that way all of the time. I think it's just stress, or my depression that keeps me awake, either way, I hate it when that happens! God Bless, Tiffany.

It was Awful. I tossed and turned all night long. I had to go to the bathroom and I believe I layed there about 2 hours before I told them because of all the wires and he trouble it would be and then in about 30 more minutes(I thought it was only that long) I had to go again and she said it was 5:30 already if I wanted I could get ready to go and I said if they had what they needed I was ready. I didn't think that I had slept at all but I guess I must have. Anyway I never want another one. Deana
