Ok, does anyone have a good contact at BCBSGA that I can call to get the "skinny" so to speak about my approval/denial??? I keep calling the CS department and they know nothing. They won't even tell me if they GOT my paperwork or anything *sigh* and Dr. Burrowes staff is the most unfriendly bunch of ladies I have ever seen.......what do I do to make sure they are even WORKING on it????

I am sorry you are having these problems. I called a few days after the Dr.'s office sent my paperwork over to them and right off they told me that it was being reveiwed and it took 4 weeks. I think if whoever I talked to couldn't tell me anything I would ask to speak to their supervisor. Somebody has to know, at least, if they even have it. After that all they will say is its being reveiwed. And they have a month to reveiw. Good Luck!!!
Did you call the Customer Service Department or what department did you call? Of course, Kathryn from Dr. Burrowes SOUNDS like she is getting irritated by me calling...she said " I SAID I would call you when we heard something" but I am worried that they never even got the fax. I hate this waiting *lol*

I'm dealing with them right now. You can call the Authorization Department at 1.800.662.9023. They are available from M-F 8a-5p. Tell them that you are calling to verify the receipt of your medical records and to get a status. If the person tells you they cannot do this, ask them to let you speak with someone who can .
