Surgery Date

I have my surgery date of 12/13/04. I've had it for a week or more but have been running around getting all my clearances. I only have one more to get on Monday and I am ready to go. I am so nervous and scared I can barely breath. Petrified is the word - yet I know that I cannot continue the way I am this year alone my back problems have ruined my year - my quality of life is so bad with all co-morbidities that next I will be in a wheelchair. By the way I did post on the Insurance site that even though BC/BS approved me within a week they would not give me a letter. It was a delay tactic but I got the approval number from them and fortunately the surgeon's office scheduled me. I finally got the letter this week dated 11/17/04 with an approval date of 10/15/04 and the approval was for 90 days I think that they were betting that I wouldn't get it scheduled prior to the end of the year when they plan on discontinuing coverage. Insurance companies are all pieces of work. Wish me luck. Happy Thanksgiving, Meg

Congratulations Meg, doesn't it feel great to hear the words"you've been approved." I went thru my fair share of obstacles to get my approval as well. My date is Dec.15th, I'm starting to get a few nerves, too. I wish you the best on your journey. James

YAY MEG!!! EXACTLY 5 months after my date!! Couldn't have been a MORE LUCKY 13th date for me in my whole life!! And each and every 13th is another anniversary where I get to take pics and look back against the old pics and thank the Good Lord above for all my success and answered prayer!
