Do you mind if I brag just a little?

I just had the nicest thing said to me, and I really don't mean to sound like a braggart.... but I would NEVER tell these grumpy people that I work with.... One of my agents that I talk to in Augusta, (that I have not seen SINCE surgery) was on the phone with me tonight, and she asked for a picture. I sent a couple from our last outing (that's the only time I ever get my picture taken!) She kept going on and on about them, but then she told me, "Your body fits your personality now...absolutely beautiful....bright & cheery". It made me cry... I think that is just about one of the sweetest things that has been said to me since I had my surgery. Now... I'm gonna pass a moral to the story on to you.... If you have the opportunity to say something nice to someone DO it. In the words of Dale Carnegie "You may forget tomorrow the kind words you say today, but the recipient will cherish them for a lifetime." I can honestly say that I bet she doesn't realize how much she touched me with her kind words... Thank you for being the warm loving group that you all are, that would allow me to feel comfortable enough to tell you guys... I'm not trying to pat myself on the back or anything...it was just a really COOL thing that has happened since WLS. You all take care!! -Tami

That is so sweet! But I personally think that you were beautiful before also. You do look healthier now, but you have the same beautiful smile! And you should pat yourself on the back, you've changed your whole life around! I think that you should brag about it, you've accomplished something so great! Even with wls some people still have a very hard time losing weight. You were totally committed and you set your mind on your goal, and you are reaching it. HHHHHOOOOORRRAAAAAAAYYYY for you Tami! Tami, I've been bragging on myself a nit around here lately - but I've never in my life had so many wonderful things happen since surgery. Go ahead and brag.
