Just wanted to introduce myself
Hi, I have been a lurker for about a year, I went through all the tests etc, applied and was denied because the insurance co wanted a more complete diet history. I have submitted my appeal and should know before the Dec. holidays. I am writing because I do not have family in GA or local support. My folks will be here to take care of my son/me but that is temporary. I guess I find that ppl generally don't understand how it is to have all those thoughts in your head about which movie theaters "fit" best, wanting a table instead of a booth and just being ready to be free all that inner discussion. I am a single mom who would like to date again someday, who would love to toss the ball with her kid. I know you all understand and I am grateful to have been on the sidelines. I guess it is time to say hi! Thanks, Barbara
Hey Barbara, and welcome. I use to live in Lawrenceville too. If you have any questions, problems or anything you want to ask, you can feel free to do it here. This is the greatest place to get help. And if we can't help you online, I can always come down there and help. You just make yourself at home and have a good time. Yell if you need me.
Hugs,
Debra =^..^=

Hi, Barbara,
I'm soooo glad you posted! Welcome. Your words brought back memories. The last time I went to a movie before surgery, I discovered I had sticky stuff on my pants. I was very upset when I realized that my hips fit further than the cup holders, so I, in fact, had cleaned them. In March, I went to see "The Producers" at Jamestown Theatre in Manhattan. A very thin sweet young lady who my hubby had sold his ticket to (in order to "babysit" our newly sober 18 year old) in front of the theatre had to share a big part of her leg space with me. She could not have been more delightful, but I was ashamed for invading her space. I kept thinking that sure she saw Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane, but probably felt cheated having to share her seat with the "fluffy" lady. I had HUGE bruises on my hips for three months. Needless to say, my wonderful experience was a bit painful and humiliating. I knew ahead of time that balcony seats would be impossible, but never dreamed the middle section would be a bad fit.
I had only shared this with my hubby and son...and doctors who saw the bruises. This is a SAFE place where we can share our hearts.
Some day, you will date again and will toss the ball with your kid!!!
Much love to you!!!
Becky
