Diet Pills?
As most of you know, my doctor wants me to try a series of diet pills before he sends a letter to the insurance company. I am in the process of changing pcp's but until they approve me for the change I have to see this doctor. I don't want to take any diet pills - they don't work, and if they do, once you stop taking them you gain the weight back. I heard that diet pills can be dangerous. What do you think? I want to go into his office and just tell him that I refuse to take them. Do you think that would set me up for a decline from the insurance company? I have tried numerous diet pills before, and they never worked. Plus I am on depression medication already, I dont want to take anymore pills. I'm confused... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
God Bless,
Tiffany.
Well...I normally go out of my way to avoid telling lies, but I think I would tell this man that I had taken them, and they didn't help! LOL!
I definitely think I would have a conversation with the doc... and share your concerns. Depending on the kind of doc, it will depend on whether he actually listens or just lets you talk and then tells you to take them anyway...
Tiffany, you know your body best...if you have a bad feeling about the pills there is probably a reason. Stick to your guns.

Well i would have to say you have to do what you think is right for you ...I have takin every diet pill there is knowen to man just about and yes they will work for about a month or two but then they stop ....so i dont know if you want to act like you are taking them jus tto get a record of something and not really take them ...ya know what i mean ...or just tell him to screw off LOL LOL but it all depends on if you need it for your diet history or not ........but you know what is best for you regardless what any doc has to say or wants you to do .....

I know you may not want to take the pills, so just ask for something like xenical, its not going to hurt you, it will just make you poop out the fat that you take in. I had to try other types of weight loss before I got approved, so I did I took xenical for about 6 months, I lost some weight but it did keep me from gaining anymore weight which is a nice thing. Most insurance companys want doctor doc that you have tried to lose the weigth with other products. Look up xenical, or other pills learn what there is to offer, merdia is another one that is not as harsh on the body. Check with the insurance company and see what they say you have to have for approvel, they you can tell him whether or not your going to take the pills. good luck jen
