7cats2dogs and a Big Heart!
I have been a lurker here for a long while and have read and asked a couple of questions pertaining to my WLS journey, but I had to comment on a particular person whom I think have a heart of gold. I think that 7cats2dogs has one of the biggest hearts on this site. She constantly tries to lift everyone's spirit and always strives to help others, whether it is welcoming someone to the site, finding out the status of someone's WLS or assisting those who are not a part of the WLS family but she still wants to help them. But above all of this, she always ends by saying..."call me if you need me" or "let me know if I can help in any way". How many of us ALWAYS offer to help in any way possible? 7cats2dogs responds to almost every post to make that person feels love and to show that she cares. I do not know 7cats2 dogs personally but I had to write about her unselfish willingness to provide whatever assistance to anyone if she can. I was just touched by her caring and had to post it so others can really see the true meaning of having a Big Heart in a "slimming" body here in Georgia. 7cats2dogs..thanks for always making my day.
You are totally right Debra is a great person. I have never met her personally either. It is a shame that we have never met because we only live about 30 minutes away from one another. I look forward to the day we do meet. She is always encouraging everyone. She goes out of her way to help others daily. I feel she is one of God's angels on earth. She does have a very caring and large heart for all. Debra, if you ever need anything I am here for you.

Wow, I haven't been posting lately because I am feeling dumpy/grumpy. But I couldn't let this post go by without letting you know how right you are about Debra. I am another fortunate soul to say I have had the pleasure of meeting Debra. I have to let you know just how special she is. The morning of my surgery, I posted, a little depressed, becasue my mom and sister backed out at the last minute and didn't accompany me to the hospital. My surgery was scheduled for 12pm. Well, my husband received a call that 'someone' was on their way to the hospital to see me. I had NO IDEA who it could be. So I am waiting in the holding area and I hear someone saying my name asking around about me. My husband went to see who it was. It was Debra and her son Matthew. They traveled all the way to Smyrna, GA just to be with me and my family. Debra was there from the moment they took me bac****il they brought me out of recovery. What a wonderful woman. Words will never express how I felt at that moment. She is definately a GEM! From time to time, I still call her or shoot her an e-mail when I think things aren't right (physically). She responds happily and never forget to add her signature, "if you need me, holler". J. Gwevonne
