Insurance Advice needed
I have been considering WLS for about 4 months now and am planning on going forward. I am uninsured (poverty level Self-employeed, LOL). I would like to know what insurance is the easiest to work with, with few denials.
My background - 281 lbs, 5'6", 43 yrs old. I have no known health problems, just health inconveniences, as I call them. I haven't had a health exam for over 10 yrs, so there could be some underlying problems I am not aware of.
I am also interested in physicain referals. I live in the Metro-Atlanta area.
Any advice to a total newbie would be appreciated!!!
Belinda, if you would like to look at more insurance company's on this site, you can. If you go to local support (on the main intrance, left side column) then click on your sate, then click on insurers (in the middle of the page - 4 or 5th one down?) You can see everyone's opinion on their insurance company by just clicking on the first letter. I hope that you find one that will help you with your weight loss journey! This is just incase you haven't gotten any feedback
God Bless,
Tiffany
PS- I have tricare, I haven't gotten approved yet for my surgery, but from what I hear they are okay to work with!
