Hi all, I hope I don't get fussed at for posting this but I need major help. There is a lady in Athens who has 8 adopted children. She sent me an email asking if I knew anyone who could help her this Christmas. Her is her e-mail: I need help for christmas please. I am a Adoptive parent with eight kids. There ages 7 to 15 years old.The boys ages are 7,13,13,14,15,15. The girls ages are 8,11.Any help will be fine. I asked her to send me their sizes and to let me know what kind of things they like. Do any of you think we can help them? I am going to do what I can. Please let me know if you can help. Thank you so much. Hugs, Debra =^..^=

My sister and I are in the process of cleaning out her kid's rooms. I'll see what I can get that might be in good enough shape to pass on. I'll bring it to the next gathering. Financially - I may be able to help a little....but money is tight this year!

Anything will be appreciated. I don't want to take them any money though. The clothes, toys, etc should be plenty. All of that stuff will be appreciated. I have also told her of several places she can go to get help too. Thank you so much. Hugs, Debra =^..^=

I forgot to tell you about one of the things my church does. We have a food pantry that helps needy familys - and this family would benefit greatly from it. She can call the "St. Vincent de Paul Society of Atlanta" and they will help her and the kids out any way they can. Food, clothes, many other things. The number to my church's division is 770 477 2388. Please feel free to have her contact them for assistance!

The American Legion in Duluth does food baskets for needy families at Christmas. Maybe there is one in Athens that does the same thing (I'm not sure about that). If you can't find a number to call, let me know and I'll check at our post and see if anyone knows someone in that area. Ann in Duluth

And I had all those girls size 10 clothes in my car on Saturday night. I should have just given them to you. I hope to be at the meeting on the 4th. If I don't find out who asked for them on this board the first time, I will just unload them in your car if needed!!! Carol
