Dinner Last Night

Hey Everyone, So I always get alittle worried going into a crowd of brand hew people... I am never really sure how anyone will take me (and my wife...). But, last night was wonderful and amazing. After meeting so many great new folks and exchanging stories and what-to-do- and what-not-to-do. It was wonderful! This was our first time to any OH function and we are happy that we attended. Thank you to Cathy and Carol from our own neck of the woods for everything. Cathy you have an amazing heart! Thanks for the chats! Now about walking the comet trail together. Saliena, You have alot more courage than you give yourself credit for! You actually got up and went to talk to people! I wish that I could be more like you! It's one thing to talk on the computer, but when it's face to face, that kinda scares me. For so long, I have kept myself isolated from the outside world, and just kept to my little family. But not anymore, I am going to try and be more outgoing, and get involved with just life in general. And most important, I am going to start walking again, now that I have someone to walk with! Hey Connie -- I know that Digger and Cathy are making plans to walk the trail. But, we should all do it together at some point. I think it would be awesome to have someone to do it with. It is easier for me if someone outside my house can kick my butt and encourage me to be there! Saliena

I was SOOOO pleased to see you there when I (FINALLY) got there! You know...that has been the neat thing about all these dinners..and it's what I tell the folks that are considering going... at each dinner there is ALWAYS some folks that have never been before, so you are NEVER the odd man or woman out... Then, as each time you attend, you know more and more folks..you find yourself really hitting it off with some, and POOF!! Jiffy Friends! Isn't life grand!? I enjoyed meeting you guys also. Since we are so close to one another, (all of us including Cathy) we really need to do more stuff together. Hopefully, I can be free enough to walk or ride the Silver Comet Trail with you guys. I want to, but the kid takes most of my time!!!!!! Carol
