Need to have a pity party here....

Thanks, Modean! Yeah, I have to believe that, too...that there was some unknown reason I was not meant to be "post-op" THIS month. I have to tell something really quirky here...and a little amusing. I have four kids, rhree of which live out of state who have their own families and responsibilities. They are all behind me in my decision to do this. I never encouraged any of them to come be with me as I understand they all have kids and other commitments. My husband plans on keeping in touch with each of them by cell phone before, during, and after. My one son that lives in Jacksonville...somehow, I just KNEW he was going to show up and surprise me! Because, I KNOW HIM! LOL! Last night, when I was calling all the kids to tell them the surgery had been postponed, my son's wife said, "Dave was planning on coming up there." I said, "yeah, I know!" "HOW DID YOU KNOW??" "I just knew, because I know Dave!" She turned around to Dave, who was cooking dinner, and told him, "your Mom knows you were coming up there." And, he said, "b$llsh#t...no way she could have known!!" Ain't that motherly instinct great?? As for coming to the gathering this weekend...that's a little up in the air, really. Honestly and truly, I can't afford it. If it were a week later, I could. But, I hope you all have a glorious time! I can't wait to meet everyone..this is such a special group of people here in Georgia! God bless you!

Pat, I am sorry, I am sure that is upseting for you, I know I would have been crying too.... Maybe you can look at it like this... you get one last PIG OUT thanksgiveing dinner.. and lots of days of leftovers..
