Need to have a pity party here....
Thanks, Kelle! The surgeon that my own surgeon has to assist him in doing these procedures is not going to be available on my original date (next Tuesday, the 16th). From what I can gather, my surgeon does not rely upon anyone else to assist, and the next available date that BOTH would be able to work together is the 7th of December.
I know it really sucks...but I do have to admit that I respect and trust his decision. The surgeon my doctor has to assist is one of the best in this area and the owner of the practice, and I have faith in both of them, really. I just wish I had known about it before now, you know? But it probably was unavoidable. God bless you!
I most certainly will give you all a blow by blow update I know it was supposed to be the other way around, but I will still be praying for you
Went to pre-op today. Got to meet my angellette Lorrie P(she is having surgery Monday) and she is a sweetheart. Pre-op was painless, except for all the waiting. Doc's office was about an hour behind, and then almost a 2 hour wait in the hospital for the rest of the tests. Lorrie waited longer than me though
Thanks, Shon! And, you are right..more time to prepare, huh? I think I was looking at it from the wrong direction, feeling sorry for myself and pouting because I had to wait longer. Only last week, my doctor told me to lose 10 pounds or he would postpone the surgery...so, maybe this is a divine way of telling me to stay on the pre-op diet and lose even more!
Shon, have you had your surgery yet? I tried to find out from your profile (which is lovely, by the way) but I couldn't tell. Anyway...God bless you!
Oh girl! I know that really sucks!!
I am like a little kid when I am really excited about something only to have the rug pulled out from under me....and this would be the ULTIMATE!!
I do not blame you for your pity party whatsoever!!!
You know, I KNOW it is of no comfort, but there must be a REASON you are not meant to have the surgery on Tuesday this month...we may never know why...
But I DO know, that we will continue to pray for you and for a safe surgery and wonderful recovery!!
Let me know if you need anything!
-Tami
P.S. I just have to ask...since you won't be almost in the hospital, does that mean you can come to the November dinner so we can meet you and give you a big hug in person?? Just curious.
