I am diabetic and my A1C levels have been high. The first test taken by my PCP levels were 13 now they are 11. However my surgeon wants my A1C levels to be in the single digits. Has anyone experienced this? Do you have any tips they may help me bring them down faster? Thanks in advance for any feedback :D

As a diabetic the best thing you can do for yourself is cut out all high carb foods and especially anything processed. Shop only the outside areas of the grocery store where the fresh foods are or go with frozen over canned or pre-packaged. Most of the time when it comes to carb foods the rule of thumb is "if it's white it ain't right". Example white rice...it's processed which makes it digest fast and converts quickly to sugar in your body. So if you want rice go with wild or brown. Diabetic Wife of pre-op WLS patient
