Rewarding yourself!!
So now that I can't "eat eat eat" to celebrate my loss I have to find other ways to do it! LOL!
Mine is now shopping, oh gosh!
I've replaced one bad habit for another....well not really.
So I decided I was going to go to Catherines, just to look around. First Kenneth was wondering "how I was going to do this". So he comes around to get my wheelchair out and I'm half way to the store's door... Should have seen his face, really was priceless. So we go in and clothes fit, with no problem. I even saw that purple jogging suit I want...but going to wait a little while cause of the major drop in weight. I walked around the shop for about 2 hours and looked around for Kenneth, LOL he had to go take a "rest" his self.
Then Saturday we went to a support meeting. It's a great support meeting for one of the surgeons I had considered for my bypass, but because they were so far away I didn't have him do it. Anyhow I had not seen the people that run it in almost a year. Should have seen their face when I WALKED in. They were all so happy for me. After the meeting was over, I was leaving and this lady "you can't be the same one from MTV?" I was like yeah, she just went on and on about how different I look and how this surgery has improved my life. It felt so good. I took a picture with the group leader and I still have to go back and look at it. I don't believe it's really me.
The smallest things mean so much though, I went in the bathroom today and realized I don't have to turn sideways to go in anymore!
Here's a picture of Ed (he's lost 340lbs) and me.

You look absolutely wonderful!! I know that everyday you're just loving life more aren't you? I'm so happy that you were able to have this life changing surgery. The "little things" like being able to go in the bathroom without turning sideways...what a victory!!!! Congratulations!

WOW!!!! That is agreat picture of both you and Ed. I know the feeling of exerburation. Ryan and I rode 10.5 miles on our bikes on the silver comet yesterday. He wore out befor I did!!! I was totally amazed! I got winded a few times, but nothing like before. I can't wait to go again!
See you sat.

Amy, you continue to inspire me and make me believe that I can do this. I know everyone who has the surgery see amazing changes in themselves, but it does seem a bit different when you start out so large as I am/was. I had a moment the other day when I realized I could get my seatbelt fastened in my car. It's still not comfortable, there's no "give" in it, but darn it, I can get the thing fastened! Little things like that (and I have experienced the sideways bathroom thing myself) make this so worth while. Keep going girl, there's nothing to stop you now!
