IBS question
I've had IBS forever! It used to be called "spastic colon." For me, it has gotten better, but, I think, it may depend on your symptoms. I'm trying not to be too graphic here. Hmmmm. I have never been able to eat when we travel, etc. When I tell the car driver to find a restroom, I mean...immediately. For the first few weeks after surgery, I thought I was in big trouble. Now, it seems that I am doing better. I am even able to eat some foods that where big "no no"s before like scallops. If your symptoms include constipation, I think it might be more difficult because of the discomfort that would be associated with "indigestion" issues. I really hope this makes sense.
Brandy... It has gotten SOOO much better, like Becky I couldnt eat and travel and when I said STOP it meant NOW.... I couldnt go to dinnner and go shopping, I always had to know where a bathroom was... I had trouble the first week after sugery, then had to do flax seed to MAKE me go... what a difference... I dont have any problems with it now... I asked the same question as a pre op... good luck....
