Two Questions

OK guys...you are my source of information. 1. Where on this website can you find the Resturant cards? You know the ones where it explains you have had WLS and asks the resturant to allow you to order of the kid's menu. I have seen it before but can't find it now. 2. What is the difference between sugar and sugar alcohols? Which should I avoid (or both)? What is an appropriate amount to intake w/out producing dumping? Y'all educate me! Robin

1. Not sure about the restaurant cards. 2. I try to keep my sugars under 10 actually try more around the 5ish area and sugars alcohols around 5ish. The sugar alcohols don't raise blood sugar levels but they can induce dumping and have a laxative effect. HUgs, Tonya

1. On the Obesity Help main page under Quick Links, you will find the restaurant card. I go a card from Dr. Duncan's office at the three month follow up appointment. I've already lost it! 2. Same as Tonya said, but I really had to keep it under 5 grams for the first three months, or I got sick. Hugs, Becky

Dr. Burrowes gave me my card at my 4week checkup. I've never used it though. I should start huh? On the replies, you gals mean 5ish per meal, right?
