Got A Date

Hi Derrick, I'm still in the process of trying to get approved for surgery. I was denied in May for not having a 6 supervised diet by my PCP, so I almost done completing my 6 months and I will re apply. Good Luck Shon

Derrick, I'm down 65 lbs since surgery, 81 total now. I was 367 the day of surgery on 7/13/04. I had my surgery at Northside. I don't really remember Dr. Hart asking if I had a preference, and maybe it was my insurance that decided?? Anyway, tonight at the support meeting someone who had theirs at Emory Dunwoody said it was really nice. I did see their bariatric floor when I went for pre-op and it was great. Also, they had a nice "goodie" bag that they give, plus they have a gym and can set up training sessions there. Those aren't available at Northside. If I were you, I'd stick with Emory Dunwoody. I didn't have any real problems at Northside, but it seems that ED has it set up very nicely for bariatric patients. Best to you!! Ann in Duluth
