I thought I would be one of the lucky ones (don't we all) and wouldn't have a problem with a lot of loose skin because I am considered a "lightweight". But one morning while doing my hair, I had my arms in the air above my head with a curling iron ready for action when I looked in the mirror and lo and behold.....I saw my Gramma's bat wings! I know my mouth dropped in horror and I stood staring at Gramma's arms in MY MIRROR! I moved one arm, then the other, and watched them sway to and fro. And then I had to smile. You see, my Gramma has been with God for almost 25 years, and those batwings were a memory of her! I turned and straightened my arms and there she was again.....a dimple in the elbow! I love you Gramma. Thank you for coming to visit. Patti

Ahhhhhhhhh batwings. We had a yardsale at my daughter's gym this past summer. A lady came up to me and asked how to get back to such and such. I raised my arm and pointed in the direction she should go. My batwings swayed to and fro. All the while she watched them with amazement on her face. To some people that would be embarrassing . To me, it was hilarious and I could not wait to tell the story to my friends !!! Oh well, as you all know by now "I ain't right" !! Carol

What a nice memory! I think they are really "angel wings"! It's funny, I never thought I looked like my grandma or ever had any of her traits...a few years ago at her funeral her sister told me that I reminder her of her and that I looked just like her. Now, several years later, I see my grandmother in the mirror! I really share her likeness...and that really makes me happy...I have such loving memories of her! I'm glad you had your grandma angel wings reminder (I'm changing the name to angel wings)! Chris S

I think it's wonderful you got to have that moment again with your grandmother. That's a secret joy I get to share with my sister. I am my late mother's spitting image. I look at my hands and arms and I see my mom. I love that *I* get to keep her with me I agree with Chris S - they're "Angel wings"
