Sensitive Question
If this applies to you, how are you dealing with or have dealt with child moslestation and weight gain?
Did you also feel like the weight was a shield?
Now that the decision has been made to take the weight off, how will you deal with the feelings that made you gain it in the first place?
Thanks,
J. Gwevonne
The only thing to help me was a great counselor (after years of therapy). I don't think I would have gone through with the surgery if I had not worked on issues first. I'm 51 and maybe that helps. Now that I know I'm an okay person, it no longer matters what other people thing of me. Those who put me down for so long. This is a new me. I still am seeing a counselor when needed to handle any issues that may come up as I slim down.
