Post op fluid

How long did it take you to loose the excess weight from surgery & IV fluids? I'm tired of the swelling. denise

Oh Denise do I know how you feel! When I left AMC, I had gained 30 pounds in fluid. I was so bloated I couldn't even make a fist. I finally called my Dr. office to see if I could take some lasix to help me get rid of the fluid. I took it for 3 days and BOY did it help. When I went back for my 2 week check I had lost 17 pounds so the fluid DID leave. It's a horrible feeling I know, girl. Keep your chin up...it'll get better! Robin

Hey Denise, It took me about a week to a week and a half to lose mine. It varies from person to person. If you need anything just yell. Hugs, Debra =^..^=

Walking and drinking. I pee all the time, it is really amazing.
