1 month check up

Today i had my one month checkup. I started at 292 pounds and today i am 270. I know i shouldnt compare myself to other, but its hard not to. I see so many other people one month out and they have lost so much more weight. What am i doing wrong. Can anyone give my any advice to speed up my weight loss. Thank you. Robin

Robin, If my calculations are right that means you've lost 22lbs in one month. That is outstanding!! I don't see how you can think your not doing well. When's the last time you've lost that much weight in a month? Every body is different. Learn now that there is always going to be someone that has lost more and lost it quicker. Comparing only leads to discouragment and is never a good thing. Also, some times when people loose lots of weight in the beginning alot of it is fluid. Keep your head up! Tonya

Hey!! Try weighing 250lbs at 5'5', going to Weigh****cher to lose 2 pounds per week and then getting on this Board!!! Talk about discouraging! Ya' just can't "do it" to yourself. Comparisons just hurt. (But I do sometimes too, D.) P.S. (Laughing at me, not you!) D.

Robin, don't dispare. The reason some lose faster than others is that they have more to lose. I was 404 when I started so I will lose faster then someone 260 . Someone over 460 will loose faster than me. Does this make any sense? Anything you lose is great for you. I would be proud of you even if you had only lost 15 so far. Keep up the great work. I've always heard the more you have to loose the faster you will loose it! you're doing fantastic though!!! Keep up the good work!
