I woke this morning with extreme dizziness. I felt like I was walking sideways. I felt like I was going to pass out. I ate a banana and drank some Propel incase it was blood sugar or potassium related. I managed to get dressed and come to work. I still feel a bit dizzy when I stand up or walk. I had my blood pressure and blood sugar checked and they are both ok. I guess I am worried about potassium or dehydration. I have been drinking but probably not 64oz a day. Have any of you had problems with dizziness or potassium? I have been planning my friend's retirement luncheon(today) and ceremony(tomorrow) for over a month. I really don't want to miss either. I am going to attempt to make it through the luncheon and then head to the Dr if it doesn't get better. Tonya

If it dosen't get better - you might want to see if it could possibly be water in the ear - or even an inner ear infection. I hope it does get better for you!

I agree with Dee Dee. I had similar issues all last weekend and through the beginning of this week. I went to the doctor and I have an ear infection that was causing it. I also have a sinus infection and broncitis, but that's another story At least I get to take the amoxycilin liquid...remember the pink stuff from when you were a kid? Well it still tastes just as good Kelle

Sorry you're not feeling up to par....this might be worth mentioning to you. My friend had several spells like that and she was just diagnosed with Meniers Disease...not life threatening at all, but she has severe bouts with vertigo along with the nausea it causes and she had some sound/ noise problems, I think it was ringing in her ears. Dr. said it was from a history of recurrent ear infections that had damaged the ear drum. Nothing much to do for it. But it has rendered her unable to work. She misses teaching but some days can't get out of bed she's so dizzy. Sure hope this isn't anything for you to worry about. We'll just pray that it's a minor ear infection. Here's a (((((((((((hug)))))))))) to make you feel better. Keep us posted.

I had this problem. Post op I would get dizzy here and there not all the time. Then at about six months out I woke and had the same problem that you had and could not get better. I even had it so bad that I starting having problems driving, I hit two different things. I went to my doctor she told me that I had an ear infection and that should clear it up. I still had the problem went back to her and she sentme for some x-rays and all different types of test. Then finially she sent me to see another doctor he looked at my test checked me out, and said that he you are dehydrated. Said that it is not serve but told me to drank more water all the time and come back to see him in a week. When I left his office I started drinking and I felt better in about three days and was 100% in about five call the doctor and he said I told you so and didn't even have to go back for that next appointment. That's my story hope you feel better. Good Luck.
